Say hello to Jason Hodge
Hi, I'm a former Royal Marine with a Diploma in Fitness Training and Sports Therapy. I have over 30 years of fitness training experience, including personal training, designing fitness plans, fitness classes, owning and running a boot camp business and designing training for sports teams.

Let's Start
My interest in physical training started when I was just 12 years old when I first started doing press ups and sit ups. Then at the age of 13 I discovered weight training and bought my first set of dumbells (which I needed the help of my mum to get them home). From here, my fascination for strength and fitness and what I could achieve physically, grew and grew.
Royal Marines Commando
I joined the Royal Marines and earned the Commando Green Beret at just 16. For the next 10 years of my active service I experienced operational tours & trained with many UK and foreign elite forces. Specializing in the raiding & landing craft branch and instructing military fitness training.
After leaving the Royal Marines, I emarked on a Diploma in Fitness Training & Sports Therapy but building a fitness business was no easy task. No social media and the internet was still young and not widely used. So it was door to door flyers and business cards that got me my first few clients.
Hodge Health & Fitness
After many years of personal training and instructing fitness classes, I branded myself as Hodge Health & Fitness and grew a very successfull Military Boot Camp and RUN-FIT running club business across Bristol and even opened up a boot camp venue in South Shields. I also trained my own 'Team Hodge', where we entered many fitness challenges to help raise money for the Royal Marines Charity.
Then Covid Came Along
Covid wiped out many businesses including mine! The world stood still and I found myself closing the doors to Hodge Health & Fitness. Suddenly I was working for 111 covid response and 119 Covid testing. As devastated as i was to lose my fitness business, at least I still had an income and managed to continue training a few clients online too.
Birth to Fitness After 50
But I was eager to get back to what I enjoyed most, helping people to get fit and healthier. Now in my 50s, rebranding was the new future! Unfortunately after losing my website, mountains of reviews and client base, I found myself almost starting over from scratch.
Now I'm back doing what I do best and being over 50, it makes perfect sense to specialize in the over 50s population.
Now I help adults over 50 stay strong, mobile, and confident through safe, personalised training and lifestyle coaching delivered in person, online, or a combination of both.
Not over 50? I'm not limited to only training men who are over 50. No matter what age you are, I can help you get in shape".
